President’s Message

My year as your president is soon coming to a close. This year has gone by so fast for me. I had some goals that I wanted to reach in my year and I believe I have made great strides in reaching those goals. Your entire MCRA board has been working hard to try to address some of the changes that the Judicial College has made to our seminars in the past few years and the changes for the future. We are mindful of how the shift to midweek seminars will have an impact on our members, especially the freelancers.
Our association is very fortunate to have Huey Bang, a freelance reporter, willing to step up and assume the role as our incoming president. He has a lot of experience from being involved in the Louisiana association and will be able to help guide MCRA through some difficult transitions.
I will remain on the board as your immediate past president to assist the board in any way I can. I will also remain your web master, so keep those news items and suggestions coming. I have a deeply felt respect for this association, and I plan to stay involved as much as my hectic schedule and life will allow. Thank you all for allowing me to represent you as your MCRA president. This has been one of the proudest accomplishments in my life.
